Run around the Greens… Twice

AO

6x Pax and 1x dog came out for 6 plus miles of fun at Fartlek.  YMMV

Todays Fartlek adventure was a running of the greens.  This involved running 3 of the parks in MacAulay (spell checked) and making two laps around each one.  First lap a regular pace and the second lap more of a sprint.  It was more of a sprint for some than others.

The first "Green" was from the clubhouse, down Travolta Hill, take a left on Sagefield Dr. to the park with no name.  We called it The Big Tree Park, but if someone has something more official, we'll take it under advisement.  There is a nice arched walking bridge in the middle of the park, maybe we can make up something with that?  Post your submissions below.

Next Green we ran to was "The Beach" also known as "The Four Corners" and "Waterfall Park".  No shortage of names for this green, to be sure.

Next, up the Green bordered by Pendley LN and Garnkirk.  This one is a true rectangle from the Sky Q view, but also without a name.  Once again, submissions below.

We then ran back out Stumptown, down by Big Oak, and then took a right up Travolta Hill.  The strong pax made a full circle and two times up Travolta Hill while the weak (that'd be me) did more of a half circle horseshoe and a couple of laps around the pain clock at the traffic circle.  No burpees, to be sure.

Then back to the clubhouse for jubilations of our triumphant return.

The Count –  Congrats to The Count for his first marathon under his belt and then coming out to Fartlek for a recovery run only 2 days later.  Solid.  Mumble chatter got YHC a new lead on some better running socks.

Tagless is looking strong on his path to IR.  Hoping he is back out there running 11 miles in no time.

Crab Legs was the rabbit of the day, always sprinting the second laps. Even after all pulled into the AO, Crab Legs was still going getting in a solid 7 miles… or more.

Die Hard – Great Lead today!  Always made sure everyone was staying together and not cheating.  Good mumble chatter during the runs as well.  Die Hard has a way of making you glad that you came out in the gloom.

Royale – Gets the Easy Run award of the day.  Took the entire run in stride with what looked like no effort.  Makes it look easy.  Role model material right there.

Then there was YHC and trustee wingman Goose.  The three-year-old coon hound did pretty well today.  I think she only zig-zagged into the Count once and managed not to trip anyone.  She stayed strong through most of the run and kept out in front (of me), only lagging for the Travolta Hill accent.  Good job, Goose.

NOTE:  Want an F3LKN shirt from the F3 Gear Store?  Go to the gear store and pick out a shirt and size and hit the EMAIL WHEN AVAILABLE button.  The F3LKN shirts have not been available for three years and we need at least 12 orders for them to fire up the presses and make them.  So sign up (no obligation to buy, just saying).  But seriously, I know there are at least a dozen people interested.  I'll probably buy several shirts since it may be years before they are available again.

Topgun sends,
