12 men came out in the early morning heat for a sandbag relay and paver beatdown.

Warm-o-rama:

20 SSH IC

20 IST IC

Stretching – Legs / arms

9 (yes, the seldom used 9 count) Pause Merkins (down on 1, hold at bottom for counts 2 and 3 and up on 4)

The Thang:

Mosey to Lake Norman Christian school.

Partner up, size does not matter.

Lap 1: Partner 1:  People's Chair on the wall.  Partner 2 runs a lap around the building.  Switch.

Lap 2: Partner 1:  Balls to the wall.  Partner 2 runs a lap around the building.  Switch.

Lap 3:  Partner 1:  People's Chair on the wall, Parnter 2 runs a lap around the building.  Switch.

Mosey to DUMC.

Each team grab a paver and a sandbag.

Team Merkins: Partner 1 does Merkins while partner 2 runs to dumpster and back while carrying a sandbag.  Switch and continue until total Merkins = 150.

Team Curls: Partner 1 does paver curls while partner 2 runs to dumpster and back while carrying a sandbag.  Switch and continue until total Curls = 150.

Team Skull Crushers: Partner 1 does Skull Crushers while partner 2 runs to dumpster and back while carrying a sandbag.  Switch and continue until total Skull Crushers= 150.

Team Squats: Partner 1 does Squats with a paver while partner 2 runs to dumpster and back (no sandbag).  Switch and continue until total Squats = 150.

20 Bent over rows IC (one partner uses paver, one uses sandbag)

Switch sandbag and paver.

15 Overhead presses IC.

10 Curls IC.

Put the pavers and sandbags away and mosey back to the green.

Moleskin:

  • Hot start to the day, 73 degrees F at 5 am….
  • An unspoken BS call by Kachow (he is too polite for a real BS call) as I heard an audible groan / sigh when he was surprised to not be done with the sandbags.  Sandbags were the only way to slow Kachow down.
  • Great turnout by our elder statesmen this morning as half the crew was of the "respect" variety.

It was an honor to lead such a fine group of men for my VQ this morning.  I am very proud to be a part of this group.  Thanks to Catfish for EH'ing me a little over a year ago.
