Four men, almost too many to count, showed up on a perfect morning to start the month of May out right.
Today's plan was formulated on Sunday Runday when I heard that GW was going to attend on Tuesday…due to his schedule YHC had been waiting for this type of early commitment for two years. Being all excited I showed up 10 minutes early to make sure everything was set up and ready to inflict maximum pain. At 0527, and still the lone soul in the parking lot, YHC realizes he forgot his phone which was integral to the workout. I raced home and got back to the AO at 0532 expecting to see someone leading warmups…but no…I see Dandy, Skipper, and Shirley having a nice chat like a bunch of school girls. Glad to see POTUS keeping everyone inline.
Warmup:
- SSH X 25 IC
- ISW X 10 IC
- Tony Hawks X 10IC
- Mtn Climbers X 20IC
Was desperately hoping that GW was going to come flying in during warmups, but alas that did not happen. So, I'll sit on this specially designed workout for another day…time to improvise.
I brought toys to today's workout. Four 50lb elevator weights…the 3 that showed up really seemed to like'm.
Head to the back and grab a block – then head to front playground.
Thing #1
- Bulgarian split squats – 10 each leg – counter
- Block Curls
- Wooly worms
- Repeato 3 times
Bring blocks to bottom of parking lot, partner up, and grab the elevator weights.
Thing #2
- Partner 1 carries 2 plates (100lbs) to top of parking lot and back
- Partner 2 does shoulder press
- Repeato 5 times – modified Partner 2 to plank after round 2 to give the arms a break
Thing #3
Took off from AO and rain to end of Silver Eagle Court (up near Metro/Cheetah's casa) and back. Approximately 1.5 miles
