Reflection: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Matthew 5:9
Though Jesus walked the earth as 100% God, he humbled himself as a servant to make peace with everyone, even among those who reviled him. In the same way, we are called to be peacemakers in our homes, workplaces, and communities. It takes two to argue, but only one is needed to make peace. Making peace requires that we lay down our lives for the sake of another. Some examples of how this might look in our daily life are;
-
Giving up our right to being right. Insisting on being right is often wrong.
-
Not insisting on our own way. Sometimes we just want what we want, even if what we want is at the expense of another person. Always be willing to do the things that you or no one else wants to do.
-
Forgiving others who wrong us. The reason we forgive others is because we are forever changed by how God forgave us.
Great time this morning. Lots of chatter and we all got pretty swole. Those that didn’t show will be jealous of our meaty arms come Saturday morning.
In honor of my first anniversay with F3 coming up Monday, I decided it would be nice to recycle my VQ (2/14/2020) winke, though slightly modified. You may recall that I received a lot of heat for cutting it short, but not this time! I also have Q on Monday, so come on out and help me celebrate.
Congrats Finkle on delivery of 2.0! Can’t wait for his VQ.
As alway, an honor!
