Schweaty Schaturday

Clem (not on the website) rounds out the 18 that were there for the workout, and Dolittle, Crack, and Mandhands posted for ruck/running #thestarndard, but were unable to stay for the workout due to a plethora of reasons.  The #ruckers were Dewey, Brushless, Manhands, Deepend, Crack, and Lear.  The #runners were Loveshack, Chief, Usain, Left Turn, Dolittle, and YHC.    The gate was locked at 7 AM, so a multitude of cars/SUV's/and #truckcity trucks hugged the entranceway to The Glen in HEAVY anticipation of our Saturday frolick in the park, and he's the story—>>

Warm Ups: Pledge of Allegience (lead by Lear), (all IC) SSH 20, IST 15, CP's 10, Plank, MC's 15, Mericans 10, CDD's 15, SDS 15, 15 single count inclined diamonds on posts for good measure.  Mozy to a lovely low brick wall.

The Thang: (all IC) Dips 10, bear crawl up hill, Iron chair on wall, 10 air presses, crab walk down, 15 dips (5 traditional, 5 each with one foot on top of the other- Santa Claus is Coming to Town style), bear crawl up hill, Preacher's Chair, Lateral Maleoli touches 10, Balls to the Wall, Peter Parkers 10, crab walk down, 10 declines.

COP (IC)- Toy Soldiers 15, 1/4 turn jump squats, 5 each way, WWII's 10.  Count off into Ultimate teams (twice–due to some bad math by YHC).

Mozy to outfield of softball field.  6 vs. 6 ultimate, 6 more went to outfield of the baseball field, up the hill a bit, and played 3 vs. 3 ultimate.  Great running, great skills on display (or NOT), fun had by all (or NOT).

Mary (IC): Box Cutters 15, Cutter Boxes 15, Mason Twists 10, Plank in varied fashions.  Recover, recover.

Moleskine:

-#thestandard was taxing, and therefore SOME (not ALL!!) of the folks were a bit tapped for the Post, including YHC.

-21 Overall and 18 at the workout, solid #racecityUSA showing and performance

Near dev-ah-stay-shun was realized when it was noted the big soccer fields were closed…..bad news.  Thus and therefore, the outfields of the 'open' base/softball fields were coned up, measured to perfection, and gifted with two (2) geometrically accurate UPA standardized rectangles (not true).

-It was THEN noted, by none other than Shotz himself, that the first UltimateTM field was unknowingly set up on a softball field, a full .05 hectacre smaller than the outfield of a 'baseball' field!!!!  Hark, who knew!  Thusforth and therefore, a second ultimate field was set up in the outfield of a 'baseball' field, granting the ulti dudes far more space upon which to (cough) spread out (and run:-(.

-Unfortunado, YHC was not at all aware of the nuances of the 6 vs 6 game on the softball outfield.  BUT most assuredly, the games were delightful, the competition was fierce, and at least one (1) Pax was accused of having 'bad hands':-/  That Pax member may or may not have been a high school football linebacker, therefore trained in the art of bodily annhiliation, and not catching a spinning piece of plastic.

-The 3 vs. 3 game displyed some epic throws and catches, a HUGE diving 'bid' by Plinko—where he had it, just couldn't 'hold' it (think the 'reservation' quip from Seinfeld at the car rental place).  Ticktock was rock solid, as always, even showing blistering sppe bursts and some diving catches, which worried YHC considerably considering the amount of after market titanium in his back.  Chief should be counted as 2 due to his stride and reachability on account of his height.  Deepend was a stalwurt performer–Wisconsin's phinest, 'nuff said.  Shotz has plasto-philic hands, and seemingly caught every disc thrown in his direction.

-The 6 vs 6 team was SUPPOSED TO come up to the BIG field after 5 points were achieved.  Well…..THAT didn't happen.  Thus, they played, by themselves, and seemed to do some pushups and burpees here and there for the fun of it, but looked liked they (almost) were enjoying themselves.

-The COT offered several prayers for those close and far from our Pax, some very heavy thoughts.  As always, we offered up our prayers to our Heavenly Father to shine his light down upon us.

-Gents, it is ALWAYS and honor and a pleasure to lead.  Thanks for trusting your hour to YHC, thanks for being there, and thanks for all the kind works post post.  It is humbling to be involved with such a fine group of men.

-Strutter, thanks for the keys!!!

PS- we all sweated a TON today, this damn humidity.  Hence the title…….
