6 PAX found out the hardy way that slow, short and stretchy doesn't mean flat! 98Degrees, 9 Lives and YHC were stuck between a swampy River Rat 10k, and what we only could imagine would be a brutal Estate beatdown with Baller at the helm, decided that a slow pace and plenty of stretching would do us right. Freedom, Tantrum and Vandelay joined and we ventured off "Towards Jim Kid Rd". Once there, Vandelay made the valiant choice to run to the rock solo (prompting much shame of Tantrum who debated joining but didnt!) and Freedom was asked to pick a number between 1 and 2. Unknown to him 1 would be venturing back towards the track, 2 would be a brief jaunt through the park. He chose 4, which wasn't even on the menu but consisted of running down, then back up the Jim Kidd hill! It wasn't fun but we did it, and proceeded to make our way back to the track the back way, with plenty of "mobility moments" sprinkled in. Vandelay met back up with us at the track where he shamed Tantrum further in a sprint (we found out later that Vandelay had no intentions of sticking around for the Estate so he was just trying to wear us down). We proceed to walk/run/stretch some laps, with a heavy dose of 2nd F, biding our time for the Baller Beatdown.
