So Soft at FKT

At 5:10am 3 men left for the standard, at 5:12 Frodo chased after them and caught up as we got two soft miles in. Arriving back at the AO with a few minutes to spare YHC gave instructions to the first location to meet for burpees, that was met with a lot of discussion about how soft the Q was and led Scrappy to ask if there would even be any pain.

5:30am after a short disclaimer about not getting shoes dirty we left and headed to the cross roads of Townley and Camberly (not Cambridge). We proceeded to do 10 burpees then went to Elevation church for a repeato of 10 burpees. Finally we arrived at the Gaga 400 loop to do 5 more burpees. The challenge was 10 laps with 5 burpees between sets. This ended up being an agressive call and although Swingy and Frodo got 8, most got 7 and some got 6. We then returned to Elevation for 5 burpees and then at the corner of 73 and Kenton did 5 more. Finally we made it back to the AO right on time.

Jobe was first back to the AO followed by Scrapy, YHC, Swingy and CB where we took on 5 more burpees before we ran out of time. We started and ended on time and got 4.2 miles in and if you did the all the burpees you got 75. Swingy and Frodo got 80 and PopTart got a little less.

Learnings for the day:

  • Auto is soft, so soft, in so many ways
  • Cherry Bomb, Swingy and a few others apprecaited the easy fellowship recovery run after coming off 1/4 ruck
  • Cambridge is in England not Huntersville however Turncoat says its also near Boston.
  • The Hoodie HC is not what it used to be
  • The Jobe rule is in effect, it doesn't matter how many laps you do or how many times you get lapped its all about being first back to the AO to get the FKT.
  • Slingshot didn't even sweat today that is how easy it was
  • PopTart promised less Burpees next week but did not say there would be more miles.

Thanks to Frodo for the opportunity to lead at this fine AO, thanks to everyone who came out and got what they were looking for this morning, until the next time.
