It’s paraphrased, but the original version is attributed to Cato. For some reason when I ran across it some weeks back, it hit a cord. After implementing the idea, I have come to realize I say a lot of useless things that don’t benefit anyone (other than my own ego). If your input doesn’t help or lift up someone around you, why do you need to give it?
In the upcoming days, many of us will be spending time with extended family. I offer this quote and suggest you take a few seconds to think not just about what you’re going to say, but ask yourself why you are saying it. Might give you a little more peace and happiness this Christmas season.
