SVU Badger

May 5,, 2016

13? Men rolled out to perfect weather and and decided to pet The Badger.  All got a little bit better by the end.

Why we call this workout The Badger escapes me.  Maybe since it’s relentless and tenacious.  It’s been 7 hours since we finished this morning, and I’m still feeling it.  So whatever we call it, it works!

The Badger

10 (IC) SSH

10 (IC) Merkins

10 (IC) Stranded Turtle

10 (IC) Squats

10 (IC) Monkey Humpers

Run a Hill – Alternate between small and big hills

Repeato – 11 times

No rest, no gathering, no waiting to join forces.  First man up the hill starts doing SSH and everyone joins in as they get there.  You can catch your breath at 6:15 when we are done.

Everyone should have between 1,000 and 1,100 reps total.

Great hussle everyone, especially the runners vying for the Q count each set.  Impressive.  @F3Strong.

Just to round out the morning, one attempt at a Kakalaca-choo choo, and one very mixed up crazy Centipede fail.

Reflection:  What are you giving?

Matthew 16:25  “For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”

Are you waiting for something that may or may not ever happen?  Saving for a rainy day?  Do you hold some part of your gifts or talents back thinking you may need them later?  Have you ever given 100% of yourself to God and watch what He can do with it?  Can you trust Him with the faith it takes to do that?

Mole Skin:

  • I think there were 13, but sound off if I left anyone off

  • No time in this one to catch you breath makes for a quiet morning.  Not much mumble chatter or even counting from the PAX

  • Nice push Cheetah on a workout that amounts to a 45 minute reminder of Wisconsin U

  • Nice push to see those competing for the Q IC counts

  • Solid effort by all today.   Nice of the rain to hold off

  • Great time starting my day with you guys.  Thanks for the opportunity to Q

Respectfully Submitted,
