The Thang
Mosey to back playground and max pull ups before grabbing the black pole vault.
Left Dandelion behind for push pull abs since he was still nursing his chin splints.
3 pax carry pole up to front entrance, other pax carried discus, baton and shotput, last pax carried water bottle.
The games:
Two groups, one group does relay race around the front entrance (300m ish) while those not running did burpees. Second group did shotput event. Using Cheetah’s slam ball we chucked it downrange and then bear crawled to where it landed for the next pax to throw. Man that thing was pretty heavy.
Swap groups for run and shotput.
Second event was discus. 5lb barbell weight launched and pax crab walk to where it landed. Other group did relay race again with other pax waiting doing flutter kicks.
Swap groups.
Third event was triple jump. This turned out not to be the recruiting event I imagined at the front entrance with us triple jumping. Picture a cross between ballet and getting tripped in the high school hallway. One group jumped while the relay group ran and did monkey humpers while waiting.
Swap groups.
Last even was pole vault. 4 pax did various exercises with pole (shoulder press, curls, squats) while one pax did a 200m dash to the stop sign.
Mosey back to AO with pole, field gear and H20 bottles. Turns out we carried around a random water bottle from the parking lot that was trash.
Back playground to return pole and max pull ups. Dandelion is on the ground with blood coming out of his navel during WW1s and we overhear his cadence at 5,432…….. Dude was back there a long time.

The Need for Self-Discipline
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
Runners in the know run at their own pace, not worrying about what the person in front is doing or if someone passes in the short term. The real life race has people passing us all the time and seeking different prizes or milestones to show success. Its hard but important to run our race and trust in the prize of eternal life and the path to get there that is mapped out in the Word.
Moleskin:
Good reminder today that the beauty of F3 is being around others trying to do the right thing and pushing themselves to be better.
-Strudel was the most graceful triple jumper out there today.
-Retread wanted to hold the 100# pole overhead for the entire trip back to the AO. Dude single handedly carried that thing pretty much the whole way.
-Shredder had a discus throw that I am pretty sure would be a Lincoln county record.
-Dandelion, apparently turned 50 recently and has attained the term Respect. Not sure what happened at the back playground for the 50 minutes we were gone but the scene depicted in the mulch was not good.
-Cheetah. Discussed the need for a nearby house to get its grinder checked. And then proceeded to demonstrate that his grinder was also inop. Thanks for the slam ball usage bro.
-Skipper strolled in from a good run at the end, seems to be the SVU runner in the best shape as compared to the triage unit amongst us.
