Swampy Launch of a new AO: Outer Limits (of Davidson)

Event Date

Feb 19, 2018

Welcome FNG Bolt (of Sparknut Lineage), Goldie (carried name from previous F3 expereince, but looking for a fresh start, Komen and newly named Chicken Noodle!

Thank you those who ventured to the Outer Limits of Davidson to support the Summers Walk AO Launch today! T Claps to Jolly for being first in and last out and contributing to passive aggressive mumble chatter to keep things moving. Jolly has the gift of observing the crowd and providing just enough, but not too much to make things fun and not scare of the FNG’s and 2.0’s.

Those who braved the drizzly, musty, swamp like conditions:

Pusher, Jolly, Methane, Tiny, Spark Nut with 2.0’s Diesel and newly minted Bolt. Solid showing of FNG’s and longtime listeners, Shawn (Chicken Noodle), Comen and Goldie, who is portioning for a rename due to undisclosed reasons.

No one saw this, but on our mosey to the dog park, i remembed to stop at my car and grab my phone (Thanks Duvall)

I hit a patch of mud and bit it harder than I have ever fallen, in many years. Imagine a baby giraffe being born on a sheet of ice. No one saw it, but I may have just put myself on the concussion protocol for the week.

Regain composure and:

Moleskin:

Not sure if this AO has all of the variety of a Davidson, a GCC or many of the other local AO’s. We may have to mix in some heavy stuff, coupons and some creativity to keep things interesting. I do know this though, this AO is much needed. There are about 8 or so of us who leave the neighborhood many days a week to post in other locations. There are so many men in this neighborhood that can be impacted by F3, just like F3 has impacted us. It is a powerful moment to join with the men of the neighborhood, lock arms and pray for the single mothers, the struggling fathers, the children getting loaded in to car seats and busses and the many families within our hood. People always say if you want to change the world you should start local. That doesn’t mean you have to run for city council or join the PTO. It means you pray for your neighbor, lookout for those near you and don’t drive by an opportunity to make a difference.

So, huge thanks to those who got their passport stamped and ventured to the Outer Limits of Davidson to join us on our launch. It’s not lost on me that you skipped some pretty bad ass AO’s to come help us launch.

I have already received a text from Chicken Noodle throwing down the HC for at least 2 days a week.

I’ll end with this. A good friend of mine reoriented the mission of his church to include this phrase:

Changed lives, changing lives.

Not trying to add to the lexicon, but isn’t that what this is about?
