Switcharoo and Trickery at The Estate

Not in pax list: Stars, Stripes, Face Plant and Guy Smiley

seemed like a normal day at The Estate… at first. 17 pax were there for a beat down by The Force. They likely thought there’d be merkins and rock work, with little running then Mary With a Rope at the end.  But instead here’s what they got….

Disclaimer.

Walk over to Rick pile. No warmorama. Low curls, high curls, full curls. And lots of complaints about no warmup. YHC also noticed a few small rocks selected.  This isn’t going well…  “Fine!  Rocks down – let’s go!”

Leaving our freshly plucked rocks in a circle in the grass, we farted up the hill beside the parking lot, past the school, then down Beatties Ford Rd via the sidewalk. Once we were passed the school, we stopped to gather. At this point 66 was no longer with us we think. Never heard…  Some ab work then we’re off again. Now past the second school. At this point the pax is asking where’d The Force go?!?!?!  And they began to believe we were doing a repeating of Excelcior by heading down that hilly road to the end.

So more running… down the road and up, but stop at the abandoned greenhouse where oddly, there’s a long, thick, black battle rope perfectly place around a power pole.  MWAR commenced amongst confusion and laughter from the pax.

Since we had a fireman among us, after all 17 took a turn calling an exercise and a turn on the rope, Fireman 9-Lives was asked to gather the rope and carry it (fire hose style) and we began to head back via a route behind the schools.

By the time we stopped for people’s chair Freedom had the rope. Some sumo style people’s chair then off again. Freedom passed the rope, caught up to YHC and fed me an idea. Balls to the wall with tunnel of love. This was done and this sucked. Then we ran more.

To the track and there was a half inflated kickball. One kick – miss the goal and we run a lap. Someone (code blue?) missed it, so we ran a lap. Then again. Another miss, so we ran again, but only to the original starting point and our circle of rocks.

About 20 mins of every rock exercise we could think off, plus some repeats and some stupid stuff.

2 minutes of Mary and finally “RECOVER RECOVER”

Moleskine:

That seemed hard. As was the 4 hrs of yardwork YHC put in after. But NY Bagel with the pax was good.

Many faces new to me at The Estate. That’s a good thing. We continue to grow and make an impact on the lives of many men.
