7 of the finest TacoTuesday connoisseurs, including The Champ, ordered every possible combination of the daily special at Viva Tequis & in turn received full credit toward their continuing education. Here is their story:
YHC got there early for The Standard before realizing that chips and salsa weren't complimentary. Probably free across the street and most definitely free and plentiful at La Unica.
Jolly & Gypsy rolled in and tried to sit elsewhere, probably because they saw a sad clown with no chips. Welcome Jedi and Swanson into the Taco Tuesday in da 'ville family! Duvall had more exciting plans that evidently fell apart at the last minute so he could join us. Either that or he finally realized where tacos stand in the list of priorities.
THE THANG:
What came next was a barrage of orders that all included some combination of the same daily taco special which included grilled chicken, carnitas, & pastor tacos for $1 each. The pax all ordered a different number and combination of the same three taco options. First plate out was Jolly's and it was not only correct but full to the brim with tacos. Probably ~20. Somehow, after delivering Jolly's tacos, the waitress brought a different number and different combination of tacos than any of the rest of us ordered, at least 4 different times. After 20 minutes, we all had tacos. Though not necessarily the same combination that we had ordered. Trying to pay separate checks was just as much fun. Good news is the chips ended up complimentary!
TACOSKIN:
- Tacos were ok. Carnitas were the best, even though I didn't order those but was served one. Definitely not as good as Sabor, Taco Truck, Verde, Unica, Zappatas, or probably Chico's (which they replaced). YHC is unable to make a comparison to the local gas station tacos because those tacos are served at a local gas station.
- Swanson is working to get F3 turf fields installed at The Estate AO. May need hand-me-downs from Davidson.
- Duvall is not in need of any more education and will now need to push his dinner to 4 PM at Bob Evans.
- Congrats to Gypsy on the new gig! Now he needs to work to "give it away" at DS.
- YHC knew that Red October lived in Jedi's garage but Springy living in Jolly's pool/pond seems odd
- Jedi is launching livingthird.com. If you subscribe, you may get free tacos but you will definitely learn how to grow through servant leadership.
- Kosar crushes tacos like he crushes bootcamps. A true regular at Taco Tuesday.
Thanks for the fellowship men. Thanks for the pb Duvall and then not coming and then showing up anyways because well tacos > education. Until next Tuesday,
DH
