Teddy Bears & Lucky 13

15 Pax came together today for a rare Cauldron/General convergence to celebrate YHC’s belated “Manniversary”(13 month). Today was also National Teddy Bear Day. Therefore, it only seemed fitting to honor the # 13 and add some bear crawls to the mix (logically).

With a plethora of Kettlebells there were more than enough for each Pax. Heck, we probably should have done multiple murder bunnies….well, on second thought, no. But first we had to:

Warmarama:

Commander Run (while listening to “Stuck in the Middle With You” by Stealers Wheel)

Pledge of Allegiance

-SSH x 30

-IST x 20

-Toy Soldier x10

-Slow Windmill x10

-Long Snapper/Dwight Schrute/Slippery Dip Can/Carrot Pullers x10

The Thang:

Get blocks and partner up for the Lucky 13 circuit in honor of YHC’s 13 months)! Each Pax does at least 13 reps until the other bear crawls a lap and back. Choice to go to exceed 13 reps while waiting for your partner until moving on to the next:

-Curl

-Bent over row

-Overhead press

-Lawn Mower (one side)

-Lawn Mower (other side)

-Kettlebell swings

-Skull crusher

-Squats

-Calf raises

-Star Plank

Surprisingly there wasn’t a lot of mumble chatter. If there was, I couldn’t hear it over the music.  The Force was a strong partner as always. He got in 100 Christian McCalf Raises (#22 would be proud)! YHC completely forgot to call ‘Mericans today (that is unheard of gents…my apologies).

Mosey down to the wall for:

-Peoples Chair

-B2W

-Praying Mantis x10

-Land the plane x10

-B2W

-Muhammad Ali/Rocky Balboa x10

-Burpees x10 OYO

Mosey back up hill (Kate Bush style)

On your 6 for Ab/core burner series:

-Glute bridge x10

-Windshield Wipers x10

-Snow angel (a Toby favorite) x10

-Suzanne Somers (both sides) x10 (20)

-Side crunch’s/pillow talk/little mermaid (both sides) x10 (20)

-V-up crunch x10

-Hello Dolly x10

-Rosalita x10

-Freddie Mercury x10

-WW II’s x10

-Lbc’s x10

Mobility moment

Recover, Recover

Prizes-one lucky Pax (Possum) received an F3 trucker hat (it just so happened that Possum was deemed by the Pax to be the most trusted to draw the winner out of the hat, but then he happened to draw his own name #hatgate).

BTW, I proudly represented my elementary school in the County Spelling Bee in 6th grade. I worked hard to win it for my school (It wasn’t covered on ESPN though). However, at the County competition, I was disqualified because I missed what word? Opossum…What 6th grader knows there there is a silent “O”? Bittermuch….yes. Therefore, I proudly congratulate Possum (with a “P”) on his prize today.

All other Pax received an F3 sticker to put on their vehicle. Extra were provided to write info down on the back of each sticker to hand to a FNG as a way to invite more to F3.

COT/Prayer

-UltraMan continuing to care for and assist his mother

-Frontier’s mother-in-law is recovering from surgery

The Force-wife is sick, please pray for her to feel better soon

-Pax lifted up Mr Holland who can’t post now due to his schedule at work, so we can still keep connected with him

-Jersey Boy-prayers for him as he will be in an upcoming play at Concord community theatre (we learned that the parental advisory rating is PG vs R)

-Unspoken requests

-Toby Talks-continue support and promote to assist Pax who are struggling with personal and professional challenges

As always gents, it was an honor. Thanks for welcoming YHC into the F3 fold 13 months ago. I have gotten to know so many great Pax and appreciate the difference F3 has made in my life. Now let us all be a light for each other, in our families, and in our community!

Great job to the following Pax for giving their all today:

Jersey Boy

Thanks to Deep Dish and The Force for allowing me to take the keys to both AO’s. Until next time…
