The #50ForFitness Challenge Inside a Tornado

Baller tweaked his back at Mighty Oak yesterday (Disclaimer!) so was looking for a sub.  Desipite the long distance from mi casa, YHC decided to help a brother out.  On short notice during a busy evening, YHC contemplated what we could do then remembered there's a list of exercises already in my phone that everyone's familiar with, so why not just do those while we run the corners of the LFC parking lot?!?!  So it was decided – we'll do all the #50ForFitness Challenge exercises while running in a big square/circle.  Like a fitty-nado of sorts.  Well, 9 pax including YHC took this unique challenge on, and here's kinda how it went:

0530 rang – disclaimer.  Let's mosey.

Straight to the side of the parking lot then straight up the hill.  No wasting time snaking through each row.  Let's just get started.  So arrive at the top corner, grab blocks, circle up.

Warm-o-rama (the usual, minus windmills which makes no sense – not sure why YHC skipped that)

Hasselhoff announces he's not ready for the blocks.  The Q cares, so let's mosey to the first corner for 10 burpees (January).  9 pax YHC calls the 1st one, each pax calls another to keep us all honest and doing all 10.  YHC calls the 10th burpee.  On your six for jackknife LBCs (February) x 10 each leg in cadence.

Mosey down to the bottom of the parking lot, halt for 10 merkins (March) IC, followed by 10 J-Lo's (April – and YHC had not "done J-Lo" since April).

Mosey across to the other bottom corner, halt for 10 hip-dips (May) each side. 

Up the hill to the top where the blocks await.  Check with 'Hoff to ensure he's ready now.  Aye.  Full Curls (June) x 10 IC, then Skull Crushers (July) x 10 IC.

Mosey to repeato Corner 1, then add WW2 sit-ups (Aug) x 10.

Mosey down to repeato Corner 2, then add Christian McCalf-raises (Sept – announced already) x 22 IC.

Mosey over to repeato Corner 3, then add Suzanne Somers (Oct but shhhhhh) x 10 each side.

 Mosey up to repeato the top corner w/ blocks.

Mosey to repeato Corner 2 (burpees, Jackknifes, WW2s).  Stay there and do Corner 3 (Merkins, J-Lo's, Christian McCalf-raises).  Mosey back to the blocks for Hip Dips, Suzanne Somers, Curls and Skull Crushers.

So we didn't get all the 50 and/or 100 reps of each in, but we also got in some steps and in all we did:

30 Burpees

30 Jackknife LBCs each leg in cadence

30 Merkins IC

30 J-Lo's IC

30 Hip Dips IC each side

30 Curls IC

30 Skull Crushers IC

50 WW2s (see below MWAR – we got 'em all in cuz it's still August)

44 Christian McCalf-raises IC

20 Suzanne Somers IC each side

Not a bad way to recap 2022 so far.

MWAR (Mary With A Rope)

YHC whipped out my big, long, thick, black…  rope for all the pax to enjoy.  Each pax takes a turn with it while the rest do a Mary exercise.  Go around the circle taking turns calling an exercise each.  Fudd and YHC called WW2s to get us to 50 on the day.

The Moleskine;

Fudd's 1st post was Fallout on Tues.  YHC then posted with him yesterday at Ludicrous Speed where his EH brother Drebbin and the pax named him.  Then posted at Samson today.  That's a strong start!

Macarena is a pleasure to Q for.  He lets out these bursts of gratitude to let you know he's enjoying the workout (No, not the same kind of bursts Amen lets out).  Way to keep pushin' brother!

Thanks to Hasselhoff for letting us start with the burpees.  Atta boy, Master Q.

66's dogs are polar opposites.  The boxer is high energy, super funny and lets us all know she's posting with us.  The Weimarunner (sp?) is quiet, sweet as she can be, gentle and can sneak up on any pax (which is why half the pax backhanded her during WW2s.  We could hear each pax apologize one at a time.

Drebin has not been around all that long but is EHing new pax and he crushes every workout.  Literally runs circles around us at Ludicrous.  His entrance to F3 LKN reminds of Popcorn's a couple years ago.  And that's saying a lot.

Bob Ross couldn't follow Macarena's turn in name-o-rama.  Ya gotta have some moves ready, brother!

Peart Plus is at every workout YHC posts at, I swear.  And I'm not sure but I think he's running the standard at every one of them too.  #impressed

Gambini is fast, strong and determined at every workout.  Had no trouble with anything today despite complaining about being sore and tired before we got started.  Even said, "I don't know how you guys have been doing this for 10 years – I'm tired."  Don't worry, Gambini – you'll look and feel just as old as we do in 8 or so years!  And you'll love it just like we do.

To address the glizzy straw…  It's a hot dog (a "glizzy") with a hole poked all the way through it then put into a drink and used as a straw.  A video went viral of a Yankees fan doing it at a game.  Dude had no one with him and did it somewhat discreetly but didn't know someone a couple rows back and across the aisle was recording.  It was either disturbing or fantastic depending on who you ask.  Look for it on Twitter.  You be you, bruh.  And you work that plaid Yankees hat!
