6 men and two 2.’s arrived at the AO at (or close enough to) 7:00 on a gorgeous winter morning to get stronger and then coffee. Without a Q signed up, Merry-go-round was the option chosen. It went like this.
Warm-O – Sonar
- 15 SSH IC (before Clark could grab the Q)
- 15 Imperial Storm Troopers IC
- 15 Windmills IC
- 15 G’ma Maters IC
- Mosey to the front of the school
The Thang
Bertha – 6MOB’s – since we did 0 burpees on Weds, this was the perfect time to make up for it. 5 burpees in the first minute –> 10 in the 6th. 45 in total in 6 minutes. A real PAX pleaser.
C# – Crush Saturday’s quota for squats – mosey around the school with 9 stops for 10 Squats IC
Clark – upper body strength segment of our programming – to the pull up bars for 2 rounds of max pullups with partner assist, then to the rock pile for 10 OPs, Cs & SCs
Diesel – 12’s with a quadro spacer – 11 LBCs on the sidewalk, quadro to the top of the hill, 1 Merkin all the way until we did 1 LBC and 11 Merkins – it used to be 11s, but Diesel has upped his game. And quadrophelia after 180 squats is no joke.
Mary (included in Diesel’s portion)
Reflection – brought to you by Clark – how often are we praying and are we doing so before we make decisions
MC – as always, show to know. Synapsis – Cornholio has endured multiple fasts and is still strong as ever. Praise (FNG1) managed to get through the workout without breaking a nail…..they are incredibly long. Diesel is in the market for a vehicle for Jack, possible something out of Gran Torino. Sonar passed the Q to YHC apparently to ‘get the burpees out of the way’. C# made friends with the manager at Chik-Fil-A and now knows the secret to ordering eggs over chicken through the mobile app. Cheese tried his best to fold a $20 in half 7 times.
Pleasure to be one of many leaders of these fine men. Namaste, Bertha
