7 men including our resident FNG who we officially gave a name to today, came out to enjoy a bit cooler starting temp.
We set-out as Dandelion shifted into Park up little big hill. Jeeves set a scorching pace early on, and YHC had to constantly reel him and Dandelion back to the group. Massive carpool line passes us going the other direction but only 1 oncoming car on Camino de Muerte.
As soon as we turn left into Covington, Blart asks "Where does this segment start"? Lol
We continue through Covington and pace groups started to form. We re-grouped at Blades, contemplating a run at the Homecoming segment. Vortex and Blart have a go at it, each setting PRs. (Blart told me at the end that he let Vortex win because he looked like he was trying so hard.) Dang Millenials.
We all end up around 5 miles back at the AO.
– So our FNG Dean. He's a pastor at a local church, but a super quiet guy on runs. He runs marathons and such. Then today, he made several BOLD statements that totally opened our eyes. First, during one of our regroup circles for the six, he sprints down a side road and states that he didn't need to Slow down because we weren't going fast enough. THEN, after the run, I told him that he needs to come to a regular F3 bootcamp, to which he states, "Well when you guys get to my LEVEL, I'll think about it." WOW! So we named him "Humble" at first. But looking back, and discussing it with others, we deem thee, "Meek". Welcome. We look forward to eventually reaching your heights sir!
– We continued prayers for Vortex's vest and for safe travels for summer vacations and such.
– Great to see Theuss back in the mix. Dogs are welcome at the fun run. They probably don't poop as much as myself or Blart anyway.
– We missed Cheetah today, and Bertha. And of course Gecko. Come home soon.
