Happy month of May to all PAX. It’s that time of year where we kick off The EMIMIMMAM Challege – Every Monday in May Is Murph Monday At Mustang. Good news, there are 5 Mondays again in 2023, so that’s 5 Murphs, we’re 20% done. Better news, if you posted last Monday, you will do 6 Murphs, that means you’re 33% done!
This challenge came about as a lead up to our Memorial Day Convergence at the Rescue Squad Park. Many PAX dread and embrace this workout at the same time. It has been done in various fitness circles in addition to F3. Read about The Murph. Doing this workout 1x per year is enough for some, 1x per month is enough for many, 1x per week may be considered too much, but if waking up at 5:00 and completing this workout were easy, everyone would do it. YHC believes this is an appropriate way to honor Lt Michael Murphy and the countless others who protect our freedom, in many cases giving their lives in order to do so.
The workout goes like this:
- 1 mile run
- 100 pull ups
- 200 push ups
- 300 squats
- 1 mile run

MC – Too much to report, show to know. Great to have 13 PAX out in week 1. Many completed the workout on their own clock. For those unable to attend, we’re going with the honors system, do a Murph and let me know. The goal is to have as many people complete one all 5 weeks as possible. Sounds like Shirley is planning to post weekly at SVU.
