4 men showed up on a chilly morning to debate when the sun will come up get closer to nature. Included in the group was a rare P-Funk sighting (don't call it a come back).
38 degrees – P-Funk and Clark are in shorts / Mulligan and YHC are more appropriate dressed for the weather. Some people can't get the weather app to work before 0800.
Clark declares he has to be done by 0715 – we get going at 0630 in single file (when running single-track trails, it doesn't really lend to grouping up – which also doesn't lend to much group conversation). YHC ended up out front – not by design. Then M/C commenced in hazing to speed up. 38 degrees also means tears (or emotional pain from the hazing) in the eyes from the cold wind (because they wanted to run faster) – significantly increasing the risk of stepping on something under the leaves that wasn't seen. Luckily no such disaster happened.
P-Funk tried a mutiny around mile 3.2 to take control of the route (so little faith in YHC's ability to do math and navigate time/distance).
4+ miles finished – last 1/4 mile on pavement (because P-Funk made us turn around early). For the record, we finished at 0715 on the button.
Fun was had. Heart rates were elevated. Everyone agreed this was a significant upgrade from the Friday "Fun" Run.
