I lost my stepmother (who raised me) to cancer a little over a year ago, my mother to parkinson’s a little over a month ago, and my wife lost her mother to a heart attack 3 years ago on new year’s eve. My wife had to take her stepmom to the hospital last night because she was having a major episode with dementia.

I showed up to Fartlek this morning there was Mulligan (lost his father recently), Jorel (lost his mother recently) and Cherry Bomb (lost his mother way too soon). I’ve never been so happy to see all of them. Again!

Needless to say, we had a great run and it did not rain a drop. Even after I stuffed my rain jacket in my mailbox mid-run.

I’m so thankful for all of my F3 brothers! I could not do it without you.
