I have to be honest, I looked at the forecast Monday night and I smiled. We get to have some fun in the rain. My plan was to warm-up and head to the Cornelius Fire station to pick up rocks and complete the workout. 8 men collected in the wet and rainy gloom and this is our story.
Before the workout began, Stromboli forcefully declared he’d see us under the awning. There was no room for discussion. So we moseyed to the awning. But, I was stubborn so I stayed in the rain.
Warm up (all in cadence):
-
SSH’s x 20
-
Imperial Storm Trooper x 15
-
Windmill x 10
Outlaw and Gnarly Goat trucked off to get rocks and no one joined me in the rain so I came under the awning and we continued.
-
WWII sit-ups x 15
-
Lap around the block
-
Merkins x 10

As we all get older, we need a strong core, it was the focus today, other than light on the running, but that’s generally a given.

Thanks to Outlaw for “giving” me the opportunity to lead these fine men with ample notice

Many thanks to Mini Me for EH’ing me 8+ years ago at a Mt. Zion “Journey” men’s breakfast. He is such a dreamy guy and I’m forever grateful that he brought me to this group of men.If you feel the same – either that mini me is dreamy or – that you are thankful for the brother who EH’d you, spread the word.Jolly Roger said it best that someone out there is praying for this and they won’t know unless you tell them.Someday YOU might be dreamy.
