The Horseshoe + Ruckshoe

19 total men (3 Rucktards) conquered the Horshoe today. I know 2 Ruckers met #TheStandard as well (Jolly Roger and T-Bone)

Here is how it all went down:

Mosey to back of Teeter for quick warm-o-rama:

  • SSH IC x 15
  • Windmill IC x 15
  • IST IC x 15

Mosey to the Shoe:

The Horeshoe is a lap that is somehow uphill both ways. It's legendary and happens the 3rd Tuesday of the month. You start at the bottom of one side and run to the other. You perform an excercise then run back. Then you perform 2 excercises and run back. Then 3, then 4, then 5. After the 5th lap you reverse ladder back down (drop exercise 1, then 2, then 3, etc…)

Non-Ruck Exercises: All Single Count

Merkins x 20
Squats x 20
Carolina Dry Docks x 20
Mason Twists x 20
Mountain Climbers x 20

Ruckshoe:

Mission – Only half of you can ruck up the hills. Which means you have to partner carry up the hills. Once at the top you can drop your partner and ruck to the other hill and down. Do not do a ladder just do single exercises. Lap 1 do exercise 1 and lap 2 do exercise 2 only. Try and get through as many cycles as possible.

Ruck Exercises: All Single Count

Merkins x 20
Squats x 20 – rucks overhead
Carolina Dry Docks x 20
Mason Twists x 20 – hold ruck in front of you and tap ground on each side with ruck
Mountain Climbers x 20

Moleskin:

  1. Tclaps to all those that tackled the Horseshoe for the first time today and to those that completed 100% of the Horseshoe today for the first time. They don't get easier, you just get better. That's science.
  2. Ruckers are stupid which I like. 3 strong for the Horseshoe is not enough. Lots of guys not taking the HTL training seriously. That's a mistake.
  3. (2) PAX not on the list: BurVegas and Axel b/c I guess they are registered on the website? Axel still looking for the MySpace page.
  4. Glad to have strong #s back @ PAINinsula. Tuesdays is not the day to come get a good workout. OATH as MQ is always a bad idea.
