REFLECTION
Hebrews 12:1
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,…”
This passage keeps coming back to me, some may recall I spoke to it at BELLZ a few weeks ago. Thunder Club included it yesterday, which you can find on the Church at Denver YouTube channel. I find it noteworthy the writer makes a distinction to lay aside not only our sin, but every weight… To me that’s a challenge to examine my life for things that keep me from running this race to my best ability. I’m sure those things vary by person and calling. Personally it was my former profession, in which I found my identity, and for which I often put other things second. In some ways my work was a weight that inhibited my ability to run the race set before me. What are some of the things that hold you back?

I was honored to lead 6 dedicated pax at the Mustang Monday Run Day. The OTB Run Club represented well. Some pax, including Mater and Clark, having logged 10 plus miles on Sunday, and Dolittle running a half marathon Saturday. Finding the track open, Boucher supposedly sad-clowned a mini standard for a half mile or so, something that may or may not have happened following the great Strava blackout of 2021. SWFL set the pace and standard for pax to follow. Thankfully, Thrift Shop was present to keep us honest and on track, and to illuminate my penchant for providing little to no coherent instructions. My inability to land the warmups on a whole number should have been a hint of things to come. I guess JDS is not sufficient for some pax. (I’ll try to do better). As always, a privilege to Q. Appreciate y'all, mean it.
