The Pain Awakens

Event Date

Dec 10, 2015

A few hours ago, in a neighborhood far away, four pax met at the Park of Hope in the gloom for an epic war with pain among the stars, and to discuss birthweights. Meanwhile, their two friends posted early to ruck but were lost to the dark side of the pre-dawn void in the outer reaches of The Plantation.

The Warm-Up:

We find our foursome journeying out through one of Race City's best Christmas shopping districts while looking for their friend Manhands at his favorite sit down, but to no avail. Upon reaching Williamson Rd our warriors proceeded down Knob Hill and around Gasoline Alley while performing 100 yard strides; 100 on, 100 easy.

The Pain:

Reaching the two mile mark at the base of Jet Hill these harriers ran up to the STOP sign at Knob Hill while maintaining an even effort, then turned around for an easy jog back to the bottom. Repeato x2. Because these were some of the fastest runners in the AO, after finishing the third cycle with time to spare YHC decided it was their destiny to run one more. With hill work completed the pax were looking for new hope so we travelled back to where the adventure began. Upon the return of the pax, we found our phantom friends waiting for Mary to strike back.
