The place where that used to be

There’s been a lot of change at Birkdale and even Google Maps has one side of the street updated with its current state and the other side has the old Birkdale, so I thought a tour would be a good way to check out the neighborhood.

FNG-1 is Sharp and he is working to get on the website.

Warmorama: Mosey, SSH, IST, Hillbillies, Toy Soldier, Long Snapper, Slow windmill

The thang: Store Tour

Janie and Jack’s was no longer there and I was going to do jumping jacks, but instead, Monkey something is coming in there, so we did monkey humpers

Chico’s: (Chico California is in Butte County): Glute bridge

Starbucks: jumping stars

Red Rocks café: like in Colorado: lots of steps: Christian McCalf-Raises

Fox and Hound: Run around the block

Bar Taco: Rosalita (high Dolly’s)

TCBY and Kilwins: Something sweet: Burpees – the Pax did not agree that it was sweet

Dry Bar: Carolina Dry Docks

Apricot Lane: One minute Plank (Ap sounds like Ab)

Brixx: hit the Bricks: incline merkins on the curb

Movie Theatre: For the movie “The Ring,” ring around the columns – 7 times each way

“Pop quiz hot shot:” What year did the Ring come out? – 2002 (get it right no burpees, get it wrong 10 burpees) – Pax guessed 2003, so we did 10 burpees.

Girl Tribe: Suzanne Summers

Eez Fusion: Dive bombers

Brown Bag Seafood: crab walks and inchworms (to catch the fish)

Bad Daddy’s: (for that Dad bod) BBC

Dressler’s: sounds like Wrestler: sitouts

Cava: means cave: bear crawls

We finished up with 4 parking deck hill sprints and some mobility from Rodeo, who promptly requested Q-credit – at this point in my backblast, I am debating whether it was Q-credit worthy, so stay tuned until the end..  The workout wasn’t enough for Kosar and Jedi – not surprised – so they did a few more laps around the parking deck.

Moleskin:

As the Pax were arriving, I overheard the Pax say that they saw Kosar, so now we really have to workout – hopefully the workout was enough for him.  Sharp came in really hot, post-Camelbak, but he jumped right in – great to see him continuing to post and get stronger.  He and Jedi pushed each other through the hill sprints, as we know how motivational that Jedi is.

Crocs called me out on Twitter to pick up the Q for Emmaus as the final part (4/4) of my mini-Toby this week, and I appreciate Crocs for his encouragement, motivation, and mumblechatter throughout the workout.

Turnpike ran 4 miles with Crocs beforehand and needed to dip out early, probably to go sleep since he said he went to bed after 11:00 and got up around 3:30.  Turnpike is built different.

Thanks to Rodeo for suggesting and leading the mobility moment.  Therefore, I will deem his leading Q-Credit worthy.

Thank you all for the opportunity to lead.

Until next time…

– Drebin
