Today the sleepy streets of Middle Earth were woken up (literally) by the fury of The SHARKNADO.  32 men (sorry Filmore, you weren't in the system for the PAX list), made the journey past countless other AO's to take on the workout that nobody wants to be surprised with.  They were prepared and ready.  Middle Earth, however, was not.

The last time The SHARKNADO roamed around Middle Earth was almost 9 months ago.  Since that time YHC has moved out of the neighborhood where I spent over 9 years, found F3 over 4 years ago, brought my daugher home over 4 years ago, and imagined this glorious workout inspired by one of the most epic movies of all time!!  Would Middle Earth give a welcome homecoming?  We'll see…

I gave some initial instruction for those who were new to the workout, left out the part about using our "inside voices" (what could go wrong?), and away we went.

Burnt Moleskin:

  • Well, we woke up the baby…  Not sure if it was us, or the dog barking at us, but either way a mother was trying to find out who was in charge as her newborn was awake.  Wingman took the initial pleas from her to find who was in charge, and he promptly ignored her.  Moses, however assured her that we would be done soon and that we would try to notify her before coming back.  Pretty sure she does not want to see us again.
  • BS calls after about the second burpee this morning, which would be a record had it not been for the time BS was called during the description of the workout.  Close second though!
  • Great job by Jimmy Olsen and the group who ran from HUMC this morning and got in some Standard miles Pre-Sharknado.
  • TClaps to Moses for putting out the fire of the angry mother.
  • Travolta made a great point noting how great you feel after the WWII Sit-Ups and how equally awful you feel after the burpees.  Definitely a range of emotions during The Sharknado.
  • Freepass was not there…
  • Great Job by all who finished the workout, all who pushed further than they have in the past, and all who made it out of the FartSack to take on this workout!
  • Happy and Humbled to be a part of such a great group of Men.
