Sometimes you are given a gift that really touches your heart and you can tell a lot of thought went into it.  Other times you are given something that you've always wanted or something that you've needed for a while.  Usually the gift is given with the best of intentions in the hopes that it will be received with overwhelming joy.

None of that happened today.

I turned 40 on Wednesday, and with all of my numerical ways of bending the truth I could not get around it.  So I figured I would share a gift with the PAX, and that gift was The SHARKNADO.

I announced it on Wednesday, not knowing it had already been done once this week (sorry!).  Then the responses came in of PAX who said they would attend and workouts converging.  Needless to say, I was humbled and at the same time nervous that I would sleep right through my alarm and be tormented mercilessly.  So I set MULTIPLE alarms, somehow woke up, and made it to LFC with a case of beer in tow.  PAX started rolling until we hit 43!!

I gave some initial instruction for those who were new to the workout (and those who forgot) and away we went.

Burnt Moleskin:

  • 43 PAX!!  Thanks SO Much to everyone for coming out to help celebrate my Birthday with me!!
  • FreePass made his first appearance at The Sharknado since the FIRST one over 4 years ago.  Welcome back and I know you can't wait for the next one.
  • Special thanks to Don Ho for sticking with me today and pulling me through.  I would probably still be out there trying to finish if you hadn't been there.  Much appreciated and awesome job considering it was your second Sharknado of the week.
  • Winning Friday was Ultraman, who did the Sharknado with a cast on one leg and using a cart to get around the loop.  Unbelievable to watch you suffer through that and if anyone ever thinks they have an excuse to take the "easy road" you proved that those excuses are null and void.  Can't say enough about how great that was!
  • Scrappy brought the tunes this morning and his DJ skill was excellent.  He also was shot out of a cannon early and never looked back as he continued to lap me.  Strong work Bro!
  • QBert was hot on Scrappy's tail along with multiple other PAX who made it look easy this morning.  Some even decided they need to do Pull-Ups during the workout (Bam Bam and Egyptian).  CSAUP, and just stupid.
  • We welcomed "Kong" this morning as Amen continues to subject his 2.0's to early morning workout torture. Thanks for coming out Amen and thanks for bringing the 2.0's along.
  • Beer was provided and we got through 19 of them.  I'm proud of us.
  • I really do appreciate the attendance of The PAX this morning and all of the birthday wishes.  It was an amazing turnout and I was overwhelmed by the support.  I'm humbled to be a part of such an amazing group of men and truly value the relationships created along this amazing journey of F3.
  • Please sound off in the comments with anything I missed as I blacked out about a quarter of the way into this thing.
