The prior afternoon was filled with Twitter banter and a confusing last minute convergence (but not really). YHC tuned it all out in the evening to enjoy an early birthday celebration with the M. However, dinner and drinks came back to haunt me at 0455. Thinking that it was all over, YHC began to pull out of the driveway to meet the Standard, when all of a sudden *poopfire*.

YHC finally made it to the parking lot at 0520 and did a mini warmup while waiting for the pax to arrive. At 0528, directions were given and pax gave their classic confused faces. DonHo said "let's just run" and so we did.

The Thang

Run fast to the pull ups bars

  • 5 pull ups
  • 10 merkins

Repeato x 10.

Run even faster to the tee box by Knox Hill

  • Run uphill – 10 burpees
  • Run downhill – 10 diamond merkins

Repeato decreasing by 1 rep until 5 burpees : 5 diamond merkins.

Run fast (but not as fast due to all those hills and burpees) to Brentfield and Agincourt. Run up Brentfield performing 5 burpees at every cul-de-sac entrance (including the bottom) to Birkdale Commons. Then do 5 burpees at Birkdale Commons.

Run back to launch! It's downhill so it has to be fast!

Recover. Recover.

Moleskine

  • Swing State, Tugs, and Heely went extra fast. Ducky saw them and decided he wanted to go fast too. All 4 were doing Mary when YHC pulled up back to launch. Strong work.
  • Swing State held onto his FKT title. Someone needs to make a workout that he can't finish first (does that even exist?)
  • Auto is still scared of my Qs. He even made up a fake trip this time to get out of posting. 
  • My first post with Sac and not one single squat! Disappointed in myself honestly.
  • Kudos to Ducky for the name of the backblast.
