The Six-Six


10 men showed for The Six-Six and a bunch of other stuff with a focus on merkins and burpees. Safe to say that fun was had by all.

Warm-up 

SSH 15 IC, Cherry Pickers 10 IC, Burp & Merk (1 merkin, 1 burpee, 2 merkins, 1 burpee, 3 merkins, 1 burpee, etc etc)

 
The Thang
Run to boat launch parking lot – alternate between 5 burpees and 10 merkins each mailbox (9 mailboxes)
 
The Six-Six
6 laps around boat launch parking lot with stations set up at top of parking lot and gazebo. Each lap around included the called exercise / reps for each station. Lap 1 = Start at Station 1 at top of parking lot for 10 burpees. Run to Station 2 at gazebo for 10 diamond merkins. Run back to Station 1 (backwards run up the hill in parking lot) for completion of 1 lap. 
 
Station 1 – Pkg lot entrance: 1) Burpees – 10, 2) CDD's – 15, 3) Catalina wine mixers – 5 (high plank to chilcutt back to high plank + merkin = 1 rep), 4) 4X4's – 5 (burpee with 4 merkins and 4 mountain climbers), 5) Plank Jacks – 15, 6) One leg Burpees – 10  [All OYO]
 
Station 2 – Gazebo: 1) Diamond Derkins – 10, 2) Dips – 15, 3) Table sit ups – 10, 4) Step ups – 20 10 each leg, 5) Dips – 15, 6) Wide Derkins – 10  [All OYO]
 
Circle up for abs – Surf and Turf called boats and canoes and Mojito called Jane Fondas (I think that's the name) which may or may not have made certain of the Pax uncomfortable.
 
Line up and sprint from gazebo to end of parking lot and circle up for 15 merkins IC.
 
Recovery walk up the trail and circle up for 10 burpees OYO and 10 merkins IC.
 
Indian run back to clubhouse parking lot. Sprint from clubhouse parking lot entrance to back right corner of parking lot. 10 merkins IC, 10 burpees OYO.

  • Great work today men. 2 miles of running + a lot of burpees, merkins and other exercises. Q got some good feedback on the workout – thanks fellas.
  • FNG-1 is now VIC-20 after long debate. Great to have you as part of the Pax VIC-20.
  • Awesome attendance this week – we hit the double digits or got close most days. Great to see everyone coming out so consistently. The new(er) guys continue to impress and put a beat down on these workouts.
  • El Tigre out next week – enjoy your trip to T&C. Hopefully that speedo works out for you bro. Q happy to be the keeper of the weights for a few weeks. Going to pump some serious iron.
  • Mojito is leading a Memorial Day workout at 7am launching from clubhouse. Bring your exercise ideas – sounds like he will be calling on the class.
