YHC had a field trip planned for this morning’s Bedrock beatdown specifically to mix things up a bit and break up the predictability of the various places around Bailey Road Park that the PAX often hit. Well that all backfired as Airstream and Soprano displayed their psychic powers, chirping and harassing the Q for the predictable exercises that would be performed before we even did them. After a brief warma-a-rama, Sorprano predicted YHC would take us up the stairs landing in People’s Chair against the brick wall of Bailey Middle School. Yep that was the plan, but a silent audible would take us east on Bailey Road, skipping the People’s Chair. Soprano also predicted merkins as we landed on the curb around the fountain at Bailey Glenn and yep, we did Merkins. After a brief mosey to Hough High School, and hitting the very predictable People’s chair on the massive retaining wall, the psychic powers of Airstream and Soprano were clearly evident at this point as we hit Praying Mantis and calf raises. To Airstreams delight, we also did some chest stretching against the wall. We also managed to hit some modified pull-ups along the railing before heading back west on Bailey Road. As we approached Bailey Middle, Airstream foreshadowed the dog agility weaving around the posts adjacent to the school parking lot. Soprano began singing the wildly popular but annyoing 70’s song, Dream Weaver, as he weaved in and out of the poles like a well trained border collie. Finally Airstream predicted Wind Sprints as we made our way to the end-zone of the football field. This was a freaky moment for YHC as that was exactly the plan.

It was an awesome morning and overall the PAX covered 2.2+ miles. Ramrod displayed an impressive sprint as he passed everyone going up Bailey Road Park. Great seeing Shadow becoming a regular at F3 workouts, great job brother. And of course, great having Primo, a fixture over the years at Bedrock and injecting his positive attitude and showing us his effortless running gait. Hope that shoulder gets better brother!
