Thirteen pax posted for the AES. There was a full moon (almost) and a Black Cat ran across our path but I was the only one who noticed (I think). And I know I am the only one who has recognized that the numbers in today's date, 01-30-18, add up to 13. Anyway, since none of us is superstitious, we proceeded without trepidation and all came out unscathed! Here's how it went:
Warm-up at The Green.
Ran to the Old IB School for 5 rounds of: 10 burpees on blacktop, run to bars for 10 pullups, run to trailer for 20 squats.
Midway Mary on the way to Church.
Then we did a stacked workout as follows, in cadence):
10 curls, run parking lot
10 curls, 10 SKs, run parking lot
10 curls, 10 SKs, 10 bent over rows, run parking lot
10 curls, 10 SKs, 10 BORs, 10 Press, run parking lot
10 curls, 10 SKs, 10 BORs, 10 Press, 10 burpees, run parking lot
Put 'em up and run back to Green for dips and incline pushups, then recover, recover.
COT: Lift up Toga who is having ACL Surgery; prayed for all others on our hearts and minds and asked for God's guidance to help us be a positive force in the lives of all those we come in contact with.
Moleskin:
LD, yes LD, was trash talkin' at the Q until the second round of pullups/burpees! He wanted to see if I could still do this after limited appearances recently.
Fidel has gotten fast since I left and was holding back a little, I think. Watch that guy and get him on a BRR team, if he's not already!
We were probably 75-80% respects today, which is getting kinda normal in Davidson. Might have to move the "respect" age to 60 for workouts in the TPR!
Thanks as always for the opportunity to Q, and thanks for a good size group showing up for the AES.
Be on the lookout for more AES opportunities outside of Tuesdays. I might be throwing out some impromptu 5:15am workouts on different days because my work schedule has changed and I am usually on the road to Charlotte by 6:30am.
