Not on website – Thurston Howell III – former LKN PAX who is visiting from his new home in Phoenix.
No preblast, but that didn't mean no workout. Cousin Eddie – or maybe should be "Steady Eddie" was there to Q, even though no pax had signed up to lead. Since he has to do that OFTEN, I offered to take this one.
Also present at the start were Na Na Na and TH3, so I asked if a little running was ok. Affirmative.
So we sauntered off toward the neighborhood beside Washam, stopping at the gate for some SSH, IST, and Dwight Shrutes. We lunge walked on our way to the corner and did a little Quadra Feel Ya up the hill.
Across the street and down into Oakhurst on Ruffner, we stopped for some Mericans at one point and squats at another (I think there was a 3rd stop for LBC but can't recall for certain). We made our way to the rock pile below Willow Leaf and Ruffner and grabbed rocks for some curls, ran up to Willow Leaf for some Manmaker Mericans, and then back to our rocks. Primo was walking by with his dog, so we asked him to join, which he obliged. We did the Burner x8 and then to the bars for Australian pullups, Bulgarian split squats, and to the curb for calf raises. Back to our rocks for some shoulder press and skull crushers, and then we returned our rocks.
We charged the hill to the pavilion and stopped there for the pretzel crunch and 5 burpees OYO. At the fountain, we did 20 perpetual step-ups each leg and some dips. It was time to head back.
We moseyed down to Bailey and up toward Cowboy, where Primo led a round of decline Mericans on the bars. Back up Washam Potts to JVW, stopping along the way for WW2 and low W. Back to the parking lot, recover recover.
Moleskine:
– Na Na Na is making a good run of his F3 discovery. He has been out nearly every day since starting a few weeks ago. Great to see the energy — get that man a Q!
– TH3 said this was his 3rd post since coming to visit this week. Seems like he needs to get F3 going in his Phoenix neighborhood.
– What a coincidence to bump into Primo! Thanks for jumping in mid-way and bringing some much needed energy! I was running on fumes by the time we finished those step-ups.
– Cousin Eddie – thanks for being a solid leader at Fission. I know there will always be a workout so don't hesitate to show up, even though there wasn't a PB this week. You've got some great ideas for changing it up a bit, and it's gonna be good! Also, thanks for taking us out today.
– Anyone reading this — please sign up to Q workouts. It doesn't have to be creative and spectacular – just take your turn getting everyone moving. 45 minutes of Mericans — whatever. Look at backblasts, ask some of the veterans for ideas, repeat your favorites. Just step up.
