Track and Hill Work* at Titan

AO

* Except the Q forgot to do some hill work, Cobains.  Here is roughly what went down on a not-too-hot-but-humid day at Titan.

0500:  Nice slow (as advertised) run standard with Tantrum and YHC.  We covered 1.85 miles which left us plenty of time to find an open gate to the football field.  (In fact, there were 2 open gates we noticed)

0530:

WARM-O-RAMA:

  • Mosey in the parking lot (in case of any late joiners) including some high knees, butt kickers, and side shuffles
  • Circle up, disclaimer given
  • IST x 15 IC
  • Dwight Schrutes x 15 IC

The Michigan:

Mosey to the football field.  Line up at one goalpost.

  • Run to other goalpost (120 yards), Hand release Mericans x 12 OYO
  • Recovery speed back to the original goalpost each time, Low Flutters x 15 IC
  • Repeato for 110 yards, 11 Hand release Mericans, and Low Flutters x 15 IC back at the start
  • Run 100 yards, 10 Hand release Mericans, low flutters x 15 IC
  • Etc.
  • For 2 sets we did slow deep squats x 15 IC instead of low flutters
  • For 5 sets we did Burpees x 5 OYO instead of low flutters

Total of 78 Hand release Mericans, 25 Burpees, bout 30 slow squats, and some low flutters.  The lines aren't painted yet so we erred on the side of running a bit long each time.

Run to the bleachers.

  • Run up at the stairway sections
  • Run down at the next stairway section

Recovery lap around the track.  Audible:

  • Another set up bleachers, run up / down, etc.

Turns out the second bleachers were longer and it took up a minute to realize that was the home side.

Finish recovery lap around track.

Head back towards start-ex for Mary.

Mary:

  • Stop in the grass for Man-Maker-Elbow-Planks x 10 IC
  • Mosey to the cars for some quad and hamstring stretches
  • Crunchy frog x 15 IC
  • LBCs x 25 IC

Recover, recover.  According to Strava, we covered 2.25 miles for anyone who didn't stop their watches.

Moleskin:

  1. Not super creative, but actually more creative than many YHC Qs at Titan!  Thank you Jaws for the opportunity to lead.
  2. Great catching up during the standard today Tantrum and looking forward to your Q tomorrow at Fallout.
  3. You were missed on Saturday Frogger but your weekend trip sounded nice.  Enjoy your day off from work.
  4. Message from Jorel at 0429:  "Going to have to miss today.  Catching up on work".  Sorry to miss you brother.  I would argue you can't be "behind" work at 0429 on a Monday, but I do respect the grind.  See you tomorrow at Fallout?
  5. If there is a better way to start your day than F3, YHC still hasn't found it.  Appreciate you gents!
  6. Check out MQ School this Thursday.  In the AM at Fission, in the PM at Crocs house.  DM me for more details if needed.
