Tribute to the HH competitors and those that made it happen!

Chilly would arrive early this morning for a standard, even after a blistering 7:28 pace on Saturday. Strong brother!

YHC could not have asked for a better crew to kick off the week as 10 brave souls ventured out and paid tribute to all the PAX who participated in this week’s Huntersville Half!  Exercises were performed throughout with each set consisting of 13 reps IC to highlight the 13+ miles covered on Saturday by our runners.  Early pushback was received by a few disgruntled PAX as YHC thought it would in everyone’s best interest to begin with a long but very slow mosey to kick things off.

Once we got through warm-a-rama in front of the movie theatre , PAX would cross the slippery Berean Bridge to the familiar Rubbermaid parking lot.   Goat, admittedly gloating throughout the morning from Navy’s W over the weekend, disappeared for a flash but reappeared just in time to find us at the rock pile where rounds of bent-over rows, curls, and presses were performed.  PAX would manage to find the brick wall area of the parking lot (twice) for pledge of allegiance, incline merkins, planks and other nonsense.

Plenty of chirping throughout, but as soon as YHC called for hands and knees, a simple innocent time to stretch, reflect and enjoy a moment of pleasure, the mumble chatter would reach a level that would  make Bill Belichick’s 24 year old girlfriend blush.

we managed to cover 1.75 miles with positive energy flowing throughout.

Big shoutout to everyone who braved the HH over the weekend, whether it was a new PR, a bucket list item, or a personal goal set earlier in the year. Great job!

Thanks Airstream for closing us in CoT !

Lots of prayers needed as we head into the holiday season:

  • Omega recently lost his father-in-law
  • Roadie’s 27 year old nephew unexpectedly passed away recently
  • All PAX caring for aging parents
  • Please continue to read other bb’s to stay engaged with other prayer requests from PAX you may not cross paths with often.
  • Praise report that JB has found forever homes for both dogs he has been fostering.

Honored to be among each of you this AM!

Humbly in Christ
