Seems to be the trendy thing to post a bb for "OTB" runs, workouts, etc. With that, the OG Trilogy Boys got back into action today, and were greeted with a nice surprise.
How it began. Afternoon of 7/09 YHC sends a text to a few of the original OTB Trilogy Boys, for those who don't know, and the one who do, and even for those who don't care, Trilogy is a, rather, large new neigborhood in Denver, NC. 3/4 of the homesites are age restricted, 55+, and a 1/3 will be open to single family homes. Be prepared though, while they market and promote homes from the upper $200k, you'll soon learn they average around $350-$450, with many higher than that. 1,200 sites planned in the several hundred acre plot, lots of trails, a huge luxurios tree house, and many many miles of roads to explore. With that, for you runners, or none runners like YHC, many segments in there to take…or at least try, Denver F3 has those on lock.
Back to the action. Several HC to the aforementioned text, and at 0530 we were ready for launch. Rolling into the AO was a returning FNG from Saturday who thought today was a Mustang day, things happen for a reason, so now FNG-1 Avlyn (that's a cool name) aka, dubbed, named, "Rudy" joined us for the 5k. Rudy is 17, and going into his Junior year at ELHS. A seasoned wrestler, who also enjoys swimming and hog hunting with his father closely resembles Rudy, but boy can he run. Not sure there is an off switch there, and he took Exploration Hill like a champ! If only he had Strava!
The route – leave Mustang towars Little Egypt and head into Trilogy via "Front to back" and catch "finger" on the way in. To round out the 3.1, complete a lap around the school, flag pole, and parking lot.
Hadn't planned a bb; however, it seems that is the thing to do now. Maybe it's to pad the numbers or get certain PAX counts escalated. Regardless, here it is.
Moleskin:
- It's been a very long time since this group got together, maybe we make it official?
- Rudy is a very respectful young man, and we hope he continues to post.
- Looking forward to getting all the Triology Boys out, and adding to the PAX list for off day runs.
- Basin is approaching, great way to train. YHC has no interest in the Basin, but I'll train along side you.
Can't wait to get on a Taco Tuesday bb later today!
All the best
