Turning on a Turn Brother

YHC and fellow Turn Brother (and Fallout MQ) Turnpike co-led the pax at #TheMightyOak last week, playing through a blended playlist and delivering pain to the pax when they failed to correctly identify which Turn Brother had selected a particular tune.

Being a Turncoat, YHC decided to put my fellow Turn Brother on the spot at this morning’s #Fallout, delivering pain to the pax (20 mericans OYO) when he failed to correctly identify a musical artist.

Before we get to that….. 7 pax met the #Standard: Turn Brothers + Frogger + Gambini ran to Stephens Grove and back (2.25 mi) and picked up Drebin on the way back.  Calypso and BEP ran separately (into Carrington Ridge, looks like).

Circle up, disclaimer, explain the music thing to the pax, and off we went….

Moleskin

  • Thanks to Turnpike for allowing YHC to lead the pax this morning, as well as for hitting up multiple pax in the day prior and turning out a nice crowd for the beatdown.
  • TClaps to multiple pax who posted this morning despite having just raced in Myrtle last weekend – strong work guys.
  • Ultraman and Die Hard joined the pax at the start and finish, but hit the track in-between for several miles.  YHC allowed it on the condition that they would be subject to any merican penalties for which they were present.
  • Of course, there were (nearly) no merican penalties because YHC could not stump Turnpike on any of the music.  My man knows his hair bands.  At some point, when it was evident that it was going to be fish-in-a-barrel for him, he deferred to the pax to come up with the artist names.  The pax did surprisingly well, and we only did a few mericans for some partial credit responses.
  • ”Imperial blockers” was taken by YHC from the F3 Exicon.  First time I’ve tried those.  Maybe the last as well.
  • Polar Bear is next weekend!  0645 am Sat 3/8 at Robbins Park.  Teams will be formed at the start of the event.  Come on out and get 1st F + 2nd F.  Always a fun time.
  • Q v Q 2025 starts soon!  Sign up via email to Ping or Scrappy and jump into the competition.
  • Christina Latini Memorial 8K and 2 Mile Walk is March 22!  Sign up to run, walk, ruck, or volunteer, or otherwise just donate and come cheer on pax and friends.
  • This morning’s playlist was as follows:
    • Girlschool – Britny Fox
    • Once Bitten Twice Shy – Great White
    • Smooth Up In Ya – Bulletboys
    • Up All Night – Slaughter
    • Smokin’ In The Boys Room – Motley Crue
    • Feed My Frankenstein – Alice Cooper
    • The Stroke – Billy Squier
    • Metal Health (Bang Your Head) – Quiet Riot
    • Monkey Business – Skid Row
    • Down Boys – Warrant
    • Kiss Me Deadly – Lita Ford
    • Seventeen – Winger
    • Gypsy Road – Cinderella
  • Thanks as always to Auto and Eeyore for the EH in June 2016 – I’m forever grateful.

Aye,

TC
