Hopefully all those that witnessed the tweet storm yesterday between Crocs and YHC knew that it was all fun and games; at least on my part. Although I still think it wouldn’t have hurt the Excelsior crowd to venture out a little bit and try something new. Of course, I’m sure they managed a faster pace than our lethargic 18-minute miles. On the other hand, we were able to get in 2-3 times more distance which equals more time for 2nd F — and there was plenty of that.
HIGHLIGHTS

- Merkins (and a selfie) in front of Possum’s son’s house
- Detour on North Summerfield to conquer a Seminole flag

- A story about someone’s rope of middling girth when compared to The Force’s long, thick, black one
- On and off the greenway 3X to cover the entire length
- Debating whether a pile of logs in the creek was a beaver den or a pile of logs…

Thanks to those who joined YHC. Good luck to those participating in the QR next Friday. Weekend rucks offer more time for extra miles and allows pax of all fitness levels to join in by adusting ruck weight as needed to stay together (or skip the ruck altogether and bring a dog instead). Perhaps we’ll have to make this a thing. And as always, the Excelsior ruckers are welcome to join us, if they can bare to be away from their AO once in a while. Arrgh!
P.S. The FSU flag we found along the way is being held in an undisclosed location. Rumor is it will be making an appearance at future Saturday rucks in the event anyone wants to claim it.
