“U” Asked For It, “U” Got It….
One sad clown for the standard, good work 9 Lives…
It was a cool start to the morning and the Pax were eager to get at it. Here is what went down.
Warm-a-Rama:
20 – SSH (IC)
20 – IST (IC)
20 – Cotton Pickers (IC)
10 – Toy Soldiers (IC)
The Thang:
I call this “The U”.
Start at the pull up station, and perform 10 Pull ups. Run the long way down the parking lot to the 1st row where everyone parks their cars and run over to the other side of the parking lot, and run back up to the top of the lot opposite of the pull ups (this pattern should resemble a “U”). At the top of the lot opposite of the pull up bars do (10) burpees.
Run in opposite direction back to where we started except stopping one row shy of the starting point. Perform (15) jump squats. Run to the opposite end of the parking lot, keeping with the “U” running path and perform (15) jump squats.
Run in opposite direction but stopping one row shy of the last station and perform (20) mercans. Run to opposite end of the lot and do (20) mercans.
Repeat this “U” pattern and do (25) CDD’s.
Repeat this “U” pattern and do (30) LBC’s.
Are we done?? No way, repeat the above, except reversing the routine working your way up to the (10) pull-ups and (10) burpees. So it went like this:
(25) CDD’s
(20) mercans
(15) jump squats
(10) pull-ups and (10) burpees
Repeato if you complete the circuit.
Mary:
(25) Low Flutters (IC)
(10) Windshield Wipers (IC)
(20) WWII sit ups
1-minute plank
Recover, recover
Moleskin:
Strong work by all. I hope it sucked for everyone as much as it did for me. I was a little worried that I wasn’t getting any BS calls until LaBon piped up as he passed me during one of the stations toward the end. It was a proud moment. Nice work by Fenway who before the workout started said he wasn’t running due to an injury. I don’t know what injury he has, but I’d love to be able to run like that. He was the first out of the gate and didn’t let up. Always good to see Funky Town. You’re becoming a runner and you didn’t even know it. Come out to Iliad on Tuesday to hone your skills. Amen and Ramrod kept a steady pace with no slowing down.
As always, it’s a pleasure to be a part of this group which continues to push me. Look forward to seeing you in the gloom real soon.
