Ultimate Frisbee League @ Bailey Road Park

It's time for another league to start up at Bailey Road Park!

• Dates (Championship Week subject to change based on # of teams)
  • Saturdays @ 7AM
  • Week 1: April 11th
  • Championship Week: May 9th
     
• Location
  • As of now we will hold games at Bailey Road Park.
  • Depending on the soccer schedule we may have to move to a different park/field in order to be able to play on a week to week basis. Keep an eye out to this PB and on Twitter to keep up.
     
• Teams
  • Week one (April 11th) we will warm up and have a "fantasy draft" where the captains will choose their team members one by one based on the PAX in attendance.
  • Any PAX who cannot attend on the 11th will be added to team that would have been picked next based on when they arrive. 
    • Ex. Team 3 Picks last in the "Fantasy Draft" Team 4 will get the first pick the following week for any new PAX that are joining in the second week, etc.
  • YHC and Buckeye will co-captain one team. I would like to get at least 4 teams so I need 3 more PAX to sign up as captains. I recommend co-captaining with someone in case you have to be absent for any of the weeks. 
    • MAX of two captains.
  • If I get a lot of interest in people being captains I will expand the number of teams.
     
• Rules (We will follow general F3 BRP Frisbee Rules)
  1. Cannot run with frisbee
  2. If the frisbee hits the ground it is a turnover
  3. Limited contact (call your own fouls)
  4. NFL 2 Feet rule (must land both feet in bounds for it to be a catch)
     1. If your momentum takes you out of bounds on a catch it is NOT a turnover you must go back to where you caught it.
     2. You can pivot on one foot when throwing, if your foot steps out of bounds on a pivot it is NOT a turnover.
  5. **Probably forgetting some, but thats the gist**
      
• Gameplay
  • Either 5v5 or 7v7 depeding on field size (subs allowed)
  • 10 Minute Warm Up
  • Two (2) 20 Minute Halves
    • Frisbee flip w/ captains to determine opening and 2nd half possession
    • Team with more points at end of 2nd half wins
    • If both teams tied at end of second half, sudden death next goal wins
      • Frisbee flip with captains to determine first possession
         
• Tournament (TBD)
  • Bracket will be determined on record, depending on how many teams we get total.
  • Tournament length will depend on total number of teams.
