7 hard-chargers launched at 0600 for Excelsior. 5 were in for a jug-a-lug and 2 did a normal run right along with us. All were strong like bull.
The Thang:
We did a quick CoP with SSH, windmill, joyful sailors, etc, then launched, ran to the Jim Kidd rock, and then ran back. We carried two jugs and did a pain pause every time we handed off… some Americans, some stretchy stretch, etc. Ostensibly the jugs were to enforce a fellowship pace. That idea failed miserably as the jugs actually added speed to Don Ho and 8Track. What's up with that? We were knocking down 8-8:30 miles with jugs. Strong work.
