V-Neck Turns into an I-Neck at the Viking

Event Date

AO

8 Braves souls converged on North Meck Park in the chilly Tuesday morning gloom.  YHC arrived at 5am to get a "lay of the land" and visually plan the beatdown which was not completely successful as you're read later.

YHC was super excited to see Jimmy Olsen pull up around 5:21 and announce he brought along his Shield Lock, RamRod and Stray. (Wasn't sure if Hippie was part of that??) YHC super excited and humbled to finally be at the same AO with these fine men.

The workout went VERY LOOSELY as follows as Q's memory has never been good at remembering exact beatdown unless it's written down.  Those who were there can make corrections as needed LOL!

YHC attempted what he though was the V-Neck but we improvised as needed

4 PAX stayed with their rocks and performed series of LBC's, Merkins, or Squats

The other 4 PAX performed the I-NECK with pairs of lunges and squats, starting with 8, then 16, then 24, and alternating upon their return with the 4 non-traveling PAX

Mosey returning to church parking lot around 6:11 and ending in MARY, including LBC's, J-LO, Pretzel Crunches (thanks Waffle House), Low Flutter

YHC continued to confuse the PAX with "5 More Reps" in the middle of cadence and was happy to draw a few laughs from the PAX by continually ending in random rep counts like 19, 7, 13, etc

Moleskin

  • YHC was truly humbled and honor to be in the company of 7 of the North Country's finest men
  • Fescue and his family lifted up in Prayer during COT
  • Christmas Trees available through BagBoy's son who is selling through Boy Scouts
  • Coffeeteria (AT&T Starbucks) enjoyed by Hippie, Waffle House, Jersey Boy and Possum and included the following topics:
  • Hippie's "hippie-ish" and sylish beanie drew a favorable response from the PAX
  • Waffle House mentioned he was born in 1976 which Possum reacted "Oh bicentennial year and Olympics"
  • Upon the mention above of the 76 Olympics, Jersey Boy reminisced about Bruce Jenner and quipped "He was the man!" Wow!
  • Conversation turned to Nostaglia and recalling our favorite Christmas presents we received as kids
  • Possum talked about his obsession with Vintage Crosman Pellet guns and his recent acquisition of 5 pellet rifles from eBay
  • Waffle House apparently had a strong affinity for Transformers, awesome!
  • Hippie discussed his toy trains he enjoyed growing up, HO scale by the way.  He also recalls shootting BB guns as a kid and purposely shooting a friend in the foot
  • JB had some sort of manual calculator that was kind of nerdy but he was proud of.
  • After Possum mentioned getting a Howdy Doody Ventriloquist Doll one Christmas, JB recalled having a Mortimer Snerd ventriloquest puppet.
  • Apparently Waffle House ordered his wife a new InstaPot from Amazon but not sure if it was an early Christmas Present.
  • Hippie wants to plan a 70's nostalgia outing and shoot BB guns and race slot cars
  • JB used to buy things out of magazines using COD "Collect on Delivery".  He also collects Ginsu knives and writes Amazon Reviews of his favoite products.
  • Did you know you can put coins in your mailbox if you don't have stamps and the mail man or lady will take them and affix said postage stamp to your letter.
