Viking word of the day — “Mosey”

Event Date

Jan 04, 2022

AO

First Viking of 2022.  7 men.  Nothing special to celebrate or commemorate it — just a beatdown and a bit of running.  Here's what we did:

– Mosey the long way into the park, using the proper entrance and circling up in the first lot for IST, Long Snapper, Windmill, Mountain Climbers, Toy Soldiers

– Mosey to first picnic shelter for 10 hand release incline merkins (do not attempt), 10 Australian pull-ups (IC), 10 dips (IC), mosey around building, and repeat but with regular incline merkins (10 IC)

– Mosey to back picnic shelter for another repeato

– Mosey to track for 3 rounds of 4 corners that included bear squats, lunges, squats, and big boy situps; a little mobility mixed in

– Mosey back to launch, stopping at the top of the hill for some Low W

– Pretzel crunch

Moleskine:

– Great to see all these men at Viking, several of which haven't been to visit in a while.  Ludi, Spaulding, and Scrappy were drawn in by the promise of 2 miles

– Bijoux and Possum made the trek down from Davidson – glad you made it through border control with no issues

– Canuck got his 2 miles and was generally pleased — maybe not with the Australian pull-ups

– Thanks to Scrappy for taking us out.  Prayers up for Davidson's Wild Thing

– F3 Afton is doing a memorial ruck/run Saturday ; 7-9 am

– No planned "2022" celebration this morning, but we put in 2.2+ miles, and my pace was 20:22

We need Q's at Viking.  Step up if you're interested in leading a fine group of men.
