Cold morning but as I mentioned already…I woke up ready to go with a sweat already brewing…so 0530 we got to it. Disclaimer first then…
Mosey to top of parking lot for Warmarama (SST, IST, Dwight Shrute, windmill) 15IC
the mumble chatter was definitely prolific this morning with observations about NC State’s lack of ability to make a shot, Nick Saban’s retirement announcement and speculation of who might follow. We also covered the fact that The Force had an eyewitness account with a live skunk yesterday at Ludicrous Speed and there was no mention of it in the BB. So here is your mention. Everyone was also offended or grossed out by the fact that I woke up sweaty this morning even though I sleep the same way I entered this world…buck naked. With so much to talk about I figured it was time to get busy so we got some blocks.
Curls, Skull Crushers, Squats all 15IC followed by an uptempo suicide hitting each of the first 4 islands.
Overhead press, Bent over row, straight leg dead lift all 15IC followed by suicide again
10 pull-ups, Merkins 15IC, WW2’s 15 followed by suicide
LBC’s, low flutter, W’s all 15IC followed by suicide
Repeato all with a 12IC minus the suicides. Mosey back to launch.
Recover Recover
Prayers up for the Force’s mom who has 2nd dose of cancer treatment at Duke today, and prayers for Peart’s co-worker Esther and her husband Greg who is also suffering from cancer. Praises that Erin (Force’s friend) went home from hospital yesterday and continues to recover.
Great work today….hate to say it but I think the suicides actually made a difference and kept us warm. Goal was to spike to heart rate with the suicides and sure enough after looking I hit 180+ 4 times in the workout.
Tammy Faye
Brutal but excellent workout, Tammy Faye.
My 1982 Garmin watch doesn’t tell me much, and definitely doesn’t tell me heart rate – but I know mine was sky high after every suicide set.
I think Tammy Faye may have woken up with that heart rate, which would explain the bed sweats. At least he claims that why the bed was wet…
Great combo of strength and cardio. Def stayed warm.
