Wall and Hill stuff at Fallout

FNG1 is now Wahoo. FNG2 is Just Darrell not yet on the website

It was a cool, crisp, wet-ish workout at the Fallout today.  Despite the cool, Jolly still went with 1 layer.  Major Tom went with 2 layers, but debated whether he needed a second one.  YHC went with 3 layers, as is customary until March or maybe April.

The #PB included a request to wear gloves, but probably should've included something about a headlamp.  Below is, roughly, what went down today.

0445:  Extended Run Standard with Jolly Roger, Major Tom, TBone, and YHC.

0448:  Awesome, Black Eyed Pea rolling in hot!  We circled back for him.  We covered about 4.1 miles, very strong crew.

0530:  Quick disclaimer.

Moving WARMORAMA:

Mosey towards Beatties Ford Rd mixing in:

*         High knees "out the gate"

*         SSH x 15 IC

*         Butt kickers

*         Smurf Jacks x 15 IC (Overheard:  "TBone, regular for you".  Brutal, but funny)

*         IST x 15 IC

*         Soybean Farmers x 15 IC

*         Quadraphilia to the top of the parking lot

*         Mericans x 9 IC (interrupted by a passing car, the first of many, many Q Fails today)

The Wall Thang:

At the wall near the Carrington Ridge entrance, we did:

*         Dips x 15 IC

*         Derkins x 10 IC.

The Hill Thang:

Run to the bottom of Bud Henderson Hill.  Plank while waiting.  On the bridge we did:

*         Dips x 15 IC

*         Burpees x 5 OYO

Run to the top of Bud Henderson Hill.  Plank while waiting.

At the wall we partnered up for:

*         Partner 1 planks while

*         Partner 2 does 10 step ups each leg

*         Flip flop

*         Partner 1 holds the people's chair while

*         Partner 2 does 10 step ups each leg

*         Flip flop

Bud Henderson Hill repeatos…deemed unsafe.  Instead we did sort of an Indian Run back to the school.  Everything after this is admittedly mostly audibles.

At the wall in front of the school everyone lined up shoulder to shoulder at 45 degrees, and the man at the end of the line bear crawled through and held 45 degrees until everyone was through.

Then we held people's chair and did some air presses and some touch those heels, about 20 each IC.

Mosey to the building at the bottom of the parking lot, and find your partner for:

*         Partner 1 did 20 box jumps

*         Partner 2 help people's chair

*         Everyone:  Slow Deep Squats x 25 IC

*         Repeato all of the above.

Mary:

*         Elbow plank x 60 seconds.  Right arm up, left arm up for 15 seconds each.  HOLD for:

*         JLOs x 15 IC.  HOLD for:

*         Shoulder touch Mericans x 15 IC, courtesy of Snake Eyes.

*         LBCs x 25 IC.

Recover, recover.  We covered 1.6 miles in total according to my Garmin.

NMM:

1.       Prayers for Pierogi's Mom and Elmer's wife's aunt.

2.       A warm welcome to Mike Hurd, who posted for the second time today.  He was EH'd by the Latta crew, including Tantrum, Jaws, Jingle Bells, and Dirt.  A graduate of Virginia Tech, works in network design, loves BBQ…tons of naming opportunities.  Last night over Twitter we thought we had landed on "The U", since Miami is something like 20-14 all time vs. VT in football.  Floated it out there today, indeed it had a nice ring:  "Mike Hurd…The U".  Very awesome!  But…Mike liked that name a little too much.  And…the college football experts among the PAX asked "Is Miami really a rival of VT?"  Well, technically no, not since the conference re-alignment or whatever.  Long story short, we settled on "Wahoo".  So welcome Wahoo.  It doesn't get easier, but you adapt and get stronger each time you post.

3.       Strong work today by another recently named PAX at Fallout, Burnt Endz.  We're fairly certain somewhere, Mooch was working hard as well.  Just not with us today.

4.       Ok, Bud Henderson Hill is not safe at 5:40 AM with no headlamps.  Sorry.  Also, that's more of an "Excelsior" or "Titan" workout anyway.  On that note, shout out to Jolly, Mr. Burns, and all the Incognitians who took a chance on a skinny kid with no BRR team last year.  YHC promises to keep bringing out questionable workouts to an AO near you to really earn that jersey.

5.       Who can one trust for correct counts?  I got Snake Eyes, Hasselhoff, Major Tom, and Code Blue as my "Count Integrity Guys".  Some others were off a few reps on many exercises, probably accidental.

6.       Was it Beach overheard saying "this is the longest 45 minutes of my life"?  Sound off below…because all I heard was "Sign me up to Q next week fellas!"  Aye Beach, TBone will get you on the calendar.  And what's that, Just Darrell will Q soon as well?  Awesome guys, thanks!

7.       Saw a picture on The Twitter with Elmers holding an AARP card.  Awesome!  But, still 49 years old bud?  When do you turn the big 5-0?  He'll join Hasselhoff and Burnt Endz in our "respect" crew.

8.       BEP is moving soon.  The F3 Moving Company is ready to help.  Good luck with the closing bud.

9.       Thank you TBone for the opportunity to lead today, and for making sure no man was left behind.

Aye fellas, have a great day.
