AO

3 pax congregated in the gloom at Viking to take on whatever challenges might arise.  Both Thug and Chilly Willy were waiting when YHC arrived at 5:25, and we waited for others, but to no avail.  Since I was feeling pretty stiff, I decided to start with a dynamic warm-up that I use for my track athletes, which received rave reviews from my fellow pax, who apparently needed some good mobility exercises as well.  If you want to know the activation exercises, just hit me up.

Today’s theme was a choose your own adventure.  Here’s what we did:

Mosey to first picnic shelter, stopping for a little people’s chair on the way.  At the picnic tables, 200 step-ups were required, but each lap around the concession area counted for 20.  We did some incline mericans for good measure, then moseyed to the parking lot by the tennis courts.  We stopped for some WW2’s in the lot (maybe should be renamed, ouch! my tailbone!), and maybe pretzel crunch (we did pretzel crunch, I just don’t remember where it fell in the workout). We then moseyed up to the rock pile for selection of a medium rock.

Back at the base of the hill, we required 100 curl to press, but each quadrafeelya up the hill counted for 10.

Next, we had a very pleasant mobility moment, stretching hamstrings, hips, etc., then did some skull crushers before returning our rocks.  Mosey back to base.

We did a round robin Mary, which included homer to marge, lbc, freddie mercury, touch them heels, j-lo, rosalita, and dying cockroach.

Finally, 5 burpees to wrap things up.

Moleskine:

Quiet morning with all the math required, but everything worked out pretty well.

Prayers for Blackbeard and AM/PM’s father, and we kept in mind the upcoming event at Hope House.

Full participation followed at coffeeteria, and Amen joined us after his Gladiator Q.

Thanks for reaching out, Chilly.  Always a pleasure to lead!
