We all have a story.

I listened to a podcast about Ellis Island and its history this past week. The speaker spoke about the millions of immigrants who came through the island in the 1800’s and early 1900’s. Those immigrants endured a 2 to 3 week ordeal at sea crammed into areas well below deck with no ventilation, running water, privacy or anything resembling cleanliness. It made me think about all of us coming from different cities and states.
At our intervals each PAX spoke about his family; wife, kids and finally what city and state where they each born in. We hail from Sumter, Salisbury, Columbus, Rome, Miami, Geneva and Bobtown none of us from Charlotte, Huntersville or Cornelius. Interesting, we all have moved to this area to help better our lives and the lives of our families. The migration continues, we fortunately have our ancestors to thank for doing the hard part. They endured many trials for just an opportunity.
We all ran 4 miles and most of us did 100 mericans.
Great morning for a run.

Prayers

We prayed to always be thankful for what our ancestors did by coming to this country and to live our lives as shining examples of the way the Lord wants us to live.
