We Started as 2, and then we Grew

Launch was scheduled for 5:30am and launch we did. Jersey Boy and I did 2 laps around the side parking lot as Waffle House made his way out of his car. I had a runner and a non-runner workout planned, so with JB, WH, and myself as the sole attendees, a runner workout it was!

We started off with 50 SSH in cadence and were joined by Hacker who had conveniently parked at the Dunkin’ parking lot. We were also joined by Greyhound who circled the HT parking lot until he found us. Note to self: Put the Pre-Blast out earlier and note that we meet on the right hand back parking lot of HT.

We moved onto Long-Snappers, Squats, and Merkins.

Run to the entrance to the Greenway:
50 Mohammed Ali’s in Cadence
10 Curb Merkins (each side)
Squats

Run to the rails
10 1 legged squats in cadence (each side)
10 Incline Merkins in cadence
20 SSH
10 Dirkins

Run to the bench
10 squats
10 dips
10 Merkins
10 SSH

Run to the bridge and lunch walk across, 20 LBC’s and 10 Merkins

Back the way we came and basically did the same thing again with some calf raises thrown in at the rails.

Jersey Boy was complaining that we aren’t supposed to end the workout 5 minutes away from the launch, but with 10 minutes to go I wasn’t worried.

The Q noticed that Jersey Boy and Waffle House had a lot of Mumble this morning. Or maybe it was just a lot of Chatter. Note to self: Harder workout next time.

Greyhound said he wasn’t a runner, but he kept up just fine.

We ended with a lunge walk/quadrophilia up the bridge and back to the launch with some squats and merkins for good measure.

Pretty sure we got 100 merkins in, but I don’t think anyone in this crew really cared.

Thanks to Hacker for keeping the pace and for bringing a headlamp. I had one, but note to self: check batteries!

Prayers for Moonlight and Jersey Boy’s family (Covid).

It was an honor and a privilege to lead this fine group of men on this warm morning. I’m a better man for it.
