We missed Dandelion who was in Turks and Caicos, so instead we got Jerks (Vortex) and Geckos.
Colder morning than the last few weeks felt great. A light wintry mix kept us cool as Skipper met Vortex at the SVU fountain and then headed Gecko's direction. Gecko usually runs like a ninja, all dark clothing with nothing reflective on him or lights. He usually is protected by Dandelion, who lights himself up like a Christmas tree. We quickened our pace to get to him quicker to reduce the time no cars could actually see his massive 5' 3 frame.
We met Gecko at Webbs Chapel Church and we did the McConnell Pennisula and a few dead ends to end up around 6 miles. Pace was slower than usual due to Vortex's tapering for the p200, and because well, Skipper is old and complains a lot. Gecko evenutally returned home and we ended up around 6-7 miles. Skipper also did some hammer curls in his warm, dry garage when he got home with dumbells to keep the swelling up in his T-Rex arms.
Prayers were given to the folks effected by the Texas events yesterday.
