We’ve got cake, and we’ve got burpees. (There was no cake.)

This particular Saturday morning started as most do in Race City. We had runners, and ruckers starting their day prior to the workout. One thing that was out of the ordinary, we had ruckers who stopped early to have a pre-workout, workout. They were doing presses, and other crazy things with their rucks. They hadn't seen my Weinke. A few minutes before the workout was to start, Lear asked if I would mind if he asked the Pax a few questions pertaining to D-Day. It was his suggestion to administer a "punishment" for any that were missed. He asked, "What was the code name of the operation?", and "What were the names of the beaches?". He had questions about the number of casualties, and about which Companies hit which beach. I was not to surprised to see that our group knew the answers to most of his questions. Regardless of the outcome, I knew the Pax was getting 5 penalty burpees. Q&A time was over, and we recited the Pledge of Allegience.

Also in attendance was Private Pyle, Porker and Pink Slip.

Our warmup consisted of 20 each, SSH, IST, HillBillies, Windmills, and our 5 penalty burpees. From here we mosied down to the pull-up bars, and did a 3 round circuit with 5 pull-ups, 10 merkins, and 15 squats. We planked as we waited for all to finish, and LT. Dan'ed our way to the "Crack Shack" for some dips. 5 burpees. From there we headed to the rock pile. It was YHC's direction for the Pax to pick up a smaller than usual rock. As always some chose poorly. As this was my birthday Q, I expected most of the Pax to expect the number 47 would come up at some point. This is where it all started. We began with rock curls, there were 47 of them in cadence. 5 burpees. Next came 47 Skull Crushers, IC. 5 burpees. We hit our 6 for  47 IC LBCs. 5 burpees. We finished our rock work with rock bench presses. Yes there were 47 of them too. In cadence. 5more burpees, and our rocks went back into the ditch. We ran from the rock pile and up the stairs to grab 5 more burpees. Off to the farthest parking lot we raced over for a round of merkins, CDDs, and 5 burpees. A quick jaunt back to the parking lot above the stairs, and we finished out 7 burpees to bring our total to- 47.

For Mary, YHC chose the box cutter, cutter box, the Rosalita, Freddie Mercury, Mercury Freddie, and the low flutter.

As always it was with great pleasure that I got the opportunity to lead such a great group of men.

We had 3 FNGs 2 of which were named. We welcomed Stroker Ace, and Rooster (@WyattHatcher's father).

Our third FNG has since been named Tote Bag.

Lear remarked at coffeeteria about how proud he was that our group had such a plethora of knowledge of the D-Day invasion.

We had a Santiago sighting at Panera.

The Strutter-que family picnic will be held on Saturday, June 16th from 6-10. All are welcome. Family, and dog friendly.

And finally, I promised a BB before my next Q. So, here it is merely a few hours before the deadline.
