Round 2 Coffee & Discussion-Marriage Monday Focus
We read Ephesians 5 22-33 and the lyrics to Sanctus Real's song Lead Me (Lyrics Below)
Some were familiar with the passage and the song. We discussed what our responsibilities are to model how Christ lead the church and for us to lead our families. Blackbeard brought great perspective that Adam fell down on the job guarding the garden and let the serpent in allowing it to temp Eve. We need to live up to our responsibilities and also submit to Christ if we expect to take care of our families and have our wives submit to our leadership. Christ served the church through examples of love, sacrifice, and disipline earning his coveted position, we should strive to do the same. We talked though engaging with our spouses when they ask questions or look for our imput. Look for big and small opportunities to apply what we discussed and to keep communication open throughout the week. Great discussion and appreciate everyone participating. Prayers up for 9 Lives brother having back surgery, Matt & Kelly Miller on the 2 year anniversary of the loss of their son, and Olive's wife contuing recovery from foot surgery.
